When I first heard about this Anime, I wasn't
sure what to expect. I was told by Baby that
this was an anime that no doubt I would
enjoy.
So first off let me give you a brief run-down
of the plot.
The following is taken from Animenfo.Com from the Net (I'm too lazy to give
you a synopsis of the story)
It's the refreshing season of early summer.
Deep in the lonely mountains in the great scale of nature, there is a secret base.
It was where a male reform school "Hane no Oto" Campus is located. Going there is the "Baka Trio (Idiotic Trio)" - motivated spirit
"Bachigoo", typical idiot "Ichibansei" and big giant, "Tenjin"
goes to. And last but not least, the average main character Takasaki Yuusuke.
Worrying
about his campus life, disaster decides to pay him a visit! So that everyone can attend classes together, an evaluation period takes place allowing high school girls to come along. The Baka Trio are first ones to get excited on the campus. However...faced with the unknown opposite sex from the city, they don't know how they should approach them. And so... eventually the bus the girls travelled on arrives
"Yuusuke-kun!" The girl Chitoshe
Midori appeared before Yuusuke and greeted him! Eyes meeting, the girl hugs Yuusuke... who is this girl???
Ok now that I
have watched all 12 episodes, I must say Green Green isn't too
bad. It's really quite funny and some of the chicks in it are
cute - damn E-Cups and all - lol.
If you watch
Green Green for a story, there isn't really much of one, but
as it stands the story isn't too bad, but its not a deep
thinking and captivating anime by any means.
The visual eye
candy is nice and something to look at and stare in amusement.
All in all Green Green is good clean fun, albiet rather eeichi
but nether less good fun anime to watch.
Caution -
Green Green #6 is incredibly sick and very very eeichi & yet in saying that while watching it, I was cringing and laughing so hard that my mouth hurt.

Story Synopsis from ANIDB.NET
Azumanga
Daioh is originally serialized in a very popular "Electric Shock Daioh"
manga. The story revolves around high school girls. Each main character has
a colorful and attractive personality for comic fans, such as gifted 10
years old high school girl, cool high school girl, natural high school girl,
high school girl with glasses and weird older teachers.
Based on a four panel comic, each part is rather short at around five
minutes. Each episode contain 5 parts making a total of 130 parts over 26
episodes.
Azumanga Daioh is an
extremely funny anime series that revolves around these group of High School
students on the left (note picture) and their neurotic and strange Homeroom
Teacher who is also their English Teacher.
The series spans about 3
years of their school lives at their High school and has some very funny
moments especially the ones revolving the character Sakaki and her fondness
for cute things - especially this stray cat that seems to love to bite her.
Their homeroom teacher is nutty and her friend a fellow homeroom teacher is
funny to watch.
I absolutely loved this anime
series, it was one of the funniest anime series I have ever watched and had
me in fits of laughter throughout the series. I was sad when it did finish.
The Japanese voices are absolutely perfect for each character. I see that it
has been picked up and licensed - I just wonder if they will be able to get
voice actors with the same passion as their Japanese counterparts - one
wonders. If Chobits was anything to go by, the english dub will suck and the
Japanese voices will rock.
Overall I highly recommend
this anime - its funny and will guarantee to have anyone laughing. |
